Testimonial by Rana Battah about "Intersectional Gender Analysis"

This post was written by Rana Battah, who attended the Intersectional Gender Analysis training with Njeri Kimotho in September 2022.

"I like trainings that challenge me and push me to ask more questions, and this training was certainly one of them! The main themes of the Intersectional Gender Analysis training were the analysis of power, gender analysis and intersectionality, and gender-based analysis plus (GBA+) at the institutional mezzo and macro levels.

Njeri's international experience - in addition to coming from the global south - gave so much richness to the course, because we could apply the tools to complex, on-the-ground situations.

The other participants were dedicated, experienced colleagues who had so much to add. Because the sessions were participatory, we enjoyed an atmosphere of shared learning and an exchange in experiences and knowledge. This training helped me answer some of my questions about gender and intersectionality which I expect to use at work and in my research."
